About these recordings (text description)
These are unedited field recordings of 25th Infantry Division radio traffic and ambient combat sounds captured during the 1968 Tet Offensive in Vietnam. They contain fragmented radio transmissions between units, static, gunfire, and artillery in the background. Because of the age and quality of the source tapes, much of the speech is not intelligible and a verbatim transcript is not available.
